TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Spencer Martin stopped all 22 shots for Colorado as the Eagles earned a split of their two-game series with Tucson, beating the Roadrunners 2-0 Wednesday night in front of 2,642 fans at Tucson Arena.

The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for Tucson (15-6-2-1, 33 points) who remained tied with San Jose for 1st place in the AHL’s Pacific Division.

Colorado (13-8-3-1, 30 points) gained ground on the Roadrunners. The Eagles sit in third place in the division just three points behind Tucson.

Merrick Madsen took the defeat between the pipes for Tucson.

The Roadrunners went 0-for-6 on the power play.

The newest team to the AHL has beaten Tucson in three of the four meetings between the two squads this season.

The Roadrunners hit the road for four matches leading up to Christmas. That trek begins with a two-game set this weekend in Chicago.
