PCC police detail contact with man accused of killing deputy marshal

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - New details have emerged about police contact with a Tucson man who is accused of fatally shooting a deputy U.S. marshal in November.

Deputy U.S. Marshal Chase White, 41, was shot to death while serving a warrant for 26-year-old Ryan Schlesinger at a home in midtown Tucson on Nov. 29. Schlesinger was arrested after a standoff at the house.

According to Pima Community College Police Department incident reports released on Dec. 26, PCC police officers had contact with Schlesinger in August 2017 and investigated a reports of alleged suspicious activity involving Schlesinger on the same day and alleged harassment involving him in September 2018.

Schlesinger is being held without bond pending a grand jury hearing.
