TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - A Tucson man has been accused of killing his wife in their northwest side home.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department said David Duane Mann, 53, was arrested on a charge of second-degree murder.
Mann called the PCSD from a home in 6400 block of North Trico Road early Saturday, Dec. 29 and said his wife had been injured.
Authorities said Donna Mann was found with obvious signs of trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the interim complaint, she had a knife stuck in her back.
David Mann told investigators he got into an argument with his wife earlier in the day and went into his room to get away from her. He said when he came out, he found her lying on the ground.
Mann said he did not remember what happened, but deputies said he had scratches on his face and arms, blood on his hands and abrasions on both knees.
Deputies said they found signs of a struggle between the living room and kitchen.
David Mann is being held in the Pima County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
