Caldwell interviews for Cardinals head coaching job
The Arizona Cardinals interviewed Jim Caldwell for the team's head coaching position on Thursday, Jan. 3.

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The Arizona Cardinals have interviewed another potential head coach.

The team met with Jim Caldwell, the former Lions and Colts head coach, on Thursday, Jan. 3.

Caldwell has a career record of 62-50 and led the Colts to the AFC title in 2010.

The 63-year-old Caldwell is drawing interest from several teams, including the Green Bay Packers, Cleveland Browns and New York Jets.

Arizona fired Steve Wilks earlier this week after only one season.

The Cardinals went 3-12 under Wilks, the franchise’s worst record in 18 years and the worst in the NFL this season.

He was the first Cardinals coach to be fired after one season since Joe Kuharich in 1952.
