Wildcat Breakdown: Cats Pac-12 opening sweep

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Arizona is 2-0 after the opening weekend of Pac-12 men’s basketball play.

The Wildcats held home court with wins over Colorado and Utah.

Our David Kelly is joined by longtime UA Basketball beat reporter Steve Rivera to dissect Arizona’s thrilling 84-81 overtime victory over Utah and the Cats quick start to conference play.

The fellas dive into how UA dealt with talented Utes guard Sedrick Barefield, Sean Miller’s decision to put the game in the hands of an injured Justin Coleman down the stretch, who they’d like to see have the ball in clutch time and the positives and negatives with the squad through the first 15 games.

Rivera has covered the Cats Arizona men’s basketball for more than 25 years. He spent two decades of that time with the Tucson Citizen and has covered 17 Final Fours.
