The battle over Arizona's immigration law could be going to the November ballot. The group "Compassion For All" is working on gathering thousands of signatures so voters may decide the outcome of SB 1070.
In order for the measure to go to the ballot the group needs to collect 76,682 signatures by July 1st. If they are successful, SB 1070 would not go into effect on July 28th and would be postponed.
Compassion For All is trying to obtain at least 155 thousand signatures. If they are successful, the group could propose its own immigration law on the ballot.
