High School Counselor On Leave After Posing Nude

A popular Tucson High School guidance counselor is on administrative leave, after TUSD officials discovered nude photos for her in a pornographic magazine.

Nonie Reynolds couldn't talk to us on camera, but over the phone she says she's upset at all of the negative attention created from her appearance in the magazine "Over 50." The publication can be picked up at many Tucson-area stores. Many of the photos are explicit, along with their accompanying article.

Reynolds said she would like to give her side of the story, but she thinks it's best not to comment at this time.

Reynolds is one of 16 dropout prevention specialists at TUSD and she's been in her job since 1990. Students and many of those she worked with say, her leaving would be a tremendous loss to the district.

That includes Tino Perez, a Tucson High administrator who has worked with her for many years. "I don't believe it's fair to put her on administrative leave. I know Nonie, and I know she's good with kids and never inappropriate with kids or adults. It'd be a big loss for the students."

TUSD is not commenting on Reynolds' leave because it is a personnel matter.
