Also, several funds have been set up and local banks also will accept donations to help victims and their families:

The Safeway Foundation has formed a fund to aid victims, with a $100,000 opening donation. Donation canisters have been placed at check stands in the company's 116 Arizona stores. Contributions may be made at any Arizona Safeway store or by mail to the Safeway Foundation, Safeway Arizona Division, 2750 S. Priest Drive, Tempe, AZ, 85282. Checks should be made payable to the Safeway Foundation Tucson Victims Fund.

The family of Gabe Zimmerman has requested that a fund be set up at Child & Family Resources to accept donations in their son's name. Zimmerman, 30, was a board member at Child & Family Resources. Zimmerman, 30, was shot to death last Saturday during a rampage at a grocery store on Tucson's northwest side. He served as Congresswoman Gabrielle Gifford's Director of Community Outreach.

The State Bar, in partnership with the University of Arizona, has established the John M. Roll Memorial Fund. Money used will provide scholarships to students attending Judge Roll's alma mater, the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona.

The Christina Taylor-Green Memorial Fund was established by the family to receive gifts in memory of Christina will be held by the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona. "Our family has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love for our sweet Christina. This memorial fund will ensure her legacy for the children in our community," said John Green, Christina's father.

The American Red Cross Southern Arizona Chapter is accepting donations in honor of Giffords. Those donations will support disaster services to children and families in need, services to our veterans and armed forces, or the teaching of lifesaving first aid and CPR skills – skills that save a life during emergencies. There's no need to fill out the honoree notification information on this form. We will send a card to Rep. Giffords notifying her and her family of your generosity.
