Just 10 hours after Hassan Adams scored a season high 27 points against Saint Mary's at Saturday's basketball game, Adams was arrested for disorderly conduct.

"Tucson police department communications section received four calls to 9-1-1 of a loud party," Lt. Vicki Reza said.

According to the police report, the Tucson Police air unit advised that two hundred or more people were gathered in the parking lot and several of them were dancing on cars or in the parking lot.

Hassan Adams tells KOLD, "There was just a lot of people out in the parking lot when I got home."

When Tucson Police officers arrived to The Exchange parking lot, just West of Greasewood and Broadway, they started breaking up the party.

In the police report, a witness stated that she and Adams were in the parking lot while the disturbance was happening and began to walk away when police arrived.

"They started dispersing individuals and telling them they had to leave," Reza said.

The witness stated that she was walking with Adams when she got into a verbal argument with her ex-boyfriend.

Adams tells us, "I was just protecting a friend."

The witness went on to say in the police report, Adams got in the middle of the argument and was trying to get her to leave when officers contacted them.

Reza told KOLD, "He was told numerous times to return to his apartment and he didn't comply."

The witness told officers, she heard officers directing Adams to leave and she could hear Adams yelling.

"Mr. Adams was arrested for disorderly conduct for not complying and not returning to his apartments," Lt. Reza told us.

Adams told KOLD, "I didn't hit nobody. I didn't assault anybody."

Disorderly conduct is a Class 1 Misdemeanor.

"It's always up to the judge to see what he will be facing. Usually, it's a fine and maybe some community service," Reza said.

Athletic Director, Jim Livengood, released a statement that says, "We are aware of the situation. The University of Arizona takes matters like this very seriously, and we are dealing with it in an appropriate manner."
