A University of Arizona law student and former beauty queen, Kumari Fulbright, is accused of holding her former boyfriend hostage,  threatening him with a gun and robbing him.

Arrest warrants were issued for two brothers, Robert A. Ergonis, 44, and Michael G. Ergonis, 46, according to Tucson police.

The Tucson Police Department has established that Michael Ergonis was not in the State of Arizona at the time of the kidnapping and torture of Kumari Fulbright's boyfriend. Detectives are still looking for Robert Ergonis.

Court papers say Fulbright and three men tied her former boyfriend up with plastic cable ties and duct tape on December 8 and held him captive at two residences, one on the north side and the other in midtown.

Suspect Larry B. Hammond was indicted in the case, and remains in Pima County Jail on $50,000 bond, police said.

Fulbright is personally accused of biting the 24-year old, sticking a butcher knife in his ear and saying she was going to kill him.

The group is accused of stealing the man's wallet, cell phone, briefcase and between $500 and $600 in cash. The victim eventually managed to escape.

Fulbright is 25 years old.  She was named Miss Pima County in 2005 and Miss Desert Sun in 2006.  She also ran for Miss Arizona both those years.

In addition to being a law student, Kumari Fulbright is a law clerk for a local judge.

Fulbright is facing five felony charges, including armed robbery, kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon.
