A small visitor from Mexico is boosting tourism near Douglas.
Birdwatchers are flocking to Slaughter Ranch following the sighting last week of a Blue Mockingbird.
The bird is native to tropical Mexico.
Its feathers flash brilliant blue in sunlight but can appear dark gray when viewed from a different angle, or through the dense underbrush the bird prefers.
People have come from as far away as Massachusetts hoping for a glimpse.
This is only the fifth confirmed appearance of the Blue Mockingbird in the United States.
Ranch staff tell KOLD News 13 that visitors got a bonus over the weekend, with sightings of two rarely seen Ruddy Doves.
