As a multimedia journalist, Bryan finds great satisfaction in putting the story together from beginning to end and highlighting what's important to you, the viewer. He's looking forward to doing just that in Southern Arizona.
Bryan joined the news team at Tucson News Now in August 2012. He comes with more than two years experience at KDRV-TV, the ABC affiliate in Medford, OR. In his time in Southern Oregon, Bryan worked his way up to developing into one of the senior reporters in the market, covering everything from wildfires to soldiers returning home, from school budget cuts to medical marijuana issues. Bryan is excited to trade in the evergreens and mythical Sasquatch for saguaro and very real Gila Monsters.
Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Bryan has been playing with his family's video camera since he was a child. It wasn't until his freshman year in college, when he traveled to New Orleans to perform relief work after Hurricane Katrina, that he found a great passion for storytelling though video.
Bryan graduated from Saint Mary's College of California, earning a degree in Communication with an emphasis in TV and Film. He served two years as General Manger for GaelVision, the student-run TV station. His work earned him the chance to cover the Gaels basketball team in the NCAA Tournament where they (and he) advanced to the Sweet 16. Bryan's work on the hardwood was featured in blogs for ESPN.com and YahooSports.com.
In his spare time, Bryan enjoys watching and playing sports, swimming, biking, just about anything outdoors and in the sun. Clearly, he's in the right place. Bryan is looking forward to exploring Southern Arizona and the rugged beauty of the Southwest.
