(KOLD) - United Parcel Service says it's cutting 1,800 management and administrative jobs across the country to streamline its U.S. package operation.
None of those layoffs affect those employed by UPS in Arizona, a UPS spokesman said in an email.
UPS spokesman Mark Dickens said customers would not "see any difference" in service as a result.
The world's largest package delivery company says about 1,100 other employees will be offered a voluntary separation package as part of a workforce reduction plan.
The company says the change will not mean the closing of any operating facilities.
The restructuring plan takes effect in April.
