Several hours after the accident, the Department of Public Safety made a correction on its details of the fatal crash, saying the driver of the Suburban was traveling west in the eastbound lanes of I-10, rather than east in the westbound lanes.

(KOLD) - Arizona Department of Public Safety officers are investigating a fatal crash between two vehicles on Interstate 10 southeast of Tucson.
The accident was reported at 3:49 am Friday morning in the westbound I-10 lanes near milepost 293. According to DPS, a 2009 Chevrolet Suburban was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes on I-10. It collided head-on with a 2007 Toyota passenger vehicle traveling eastbound.
The driver of the Toyota died at the scene. DPS identifies him as 48-year-old Jesus Haro of Benson.
The driver of the Chevrolet was injured and is identified as James A. Anderson, 61, of Palm Springs, CA. The extent of his injuries is unknown at this time.
DPS says the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
