TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) - National Guard troops will begin to arrive on Arizona's border with Mexico on Aug. 1, according published reports quoting Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano.

Napolitano is also scheduled to announce Monday that hundreds of additional Border Patrol agents and customs officers are being deployed to the Arizona outback and operate inspection stations.

The Arizona Republic is reporting that Immigration and Customs Enforcement will open a new office in Ajo, and that the Department of Homeland Security is sending a new team to Douglas.
