I know i'm new to Tucson, but i really don't understand spending close to a million dollars for a film documenting the history of Tucson.
The film was ordered in 2006 and was supposed to be a promotional video for the Tucson Heritage Park project.
But with the work west of downtown on hold, there are big questions about the cost.
So far the price tag is $820,000 and there is no place to show it. Nor do we have the equipment to even play it!
Ordering this video was short-sighted and an insult to the taxpayers. We could use $820,000 to keep open the 17 Tucson pools, closed because of budget shortfalls.
We need to send a message to our city leaders that they need to be more careful with our tax dollars or we will find others that will.
Think about it.
