It seems to have become a national pastime to bash Arizona.
But most of us live here because we want to live here. Even though we are dealing with some bad publicity let's not forget why we love Southern Arizona.
For instance, 'Outside' magazine just named us as the best town for road biking.
StateOfTheAir.org says we are one of the cleanest cities in America.
A recent study by Brookings Mountain West says the total amount of goods and services produced here during the first quarter grew by 1.4 percent. That's about a half percent better than the nation as a whole.
Because of our alternative energy achievements and as a leading player in aerospace and defense manufacturing and as an emerging hub for biotechnology, 'Business Facilities' magazine named Tucson a top ten metro city for economic growth potential.
Finally, AARP named Tucson as the top city in the nation for uncomplicated living.
All of these thing are something we can think about. And celebrate.
