TUCSON (KOLD) - A possible second suspect has been cleared of involvement in the mass shootings on the northwest side. After questioning a cab driver who drove the suspected gunman to the grocery store where the shootings took place, they cleared the driver of any involvement.

A total of 19 people were shot, six fatally.

Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was among the injured.  She remained in critical condition Sunday night after being shot in the head.

The victims who died were John Roll, 63, Christina Green, 9, Dorothy Morris, 76, Dorwin Stoddard, 76, Phyllis Schneck, 79, and Gabriel Zimmerman, 30.

Authorities say the suspect, 22-year-old Jared Loughner of Tucson, had a troubled past.

Investigators have executed a search warrant at the home of Loughner's parents, whose son lived with them. They found an envelope in a safe with the words "I planned ahead," "My assassination" and the name "Giffords" next to what appears to be Loughner's signature.
