TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) - A special mass will be held in honor of the victims and survivors of the congressional event shooting.

Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was hosting a "Congress on Your Side" event on Saturday when a gunman opened fire killing six people, wounding Giffords and 13 others.

The "Mass for the Healing of Our Community, Remembrance of Those Who Have Died and for the Consolation of All Victims and Their Families" will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 7 p.m. at St. Odilia Church at 7570 N. Paseo del Norte.

St. Odilia Parish is just a few blocks away from the scene of Saturday's shootings near Ina and Oracle.

Leaders from the Catholic Diocese of Tucson say it is the parish of Christina Taylor Green.

She made her First Communion at the parish last spring and was member of the parish children's choir.
