Presidents' Day closures in Pima County

TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) - Presidents Day falls on Monday, Feb. 21 and the federal holiday is causing some closures across the country.

City, county, state and federal offices will be closed due to the holiday.

The city of Tucson's garbage and recycling collection services will be delayed by one day all week.

  • The Los Reales Landfill will remain open
  • For information, call Environmental Services at 791-3171
  • www.tucsonaz.gov/esd

All county landfills and transfer stations will be closed Monday. This includes:

  • Tangerine Road landfill
  • Ajo landfill
  • Sahuarita landfill
  • Ryan Airfield and Catalina transfer stations
  • Info line: 243-7400.
  • For recycling or waste collection in Pima County, call your collection company for the schedule

Waste Management services are unaffected by the holiday. For more information, call 744-2600.

All post offices will be closed. County library branches and the Oro Valley Public Library will also be closed for the holiday.

  • Book chutes will be open for customers to return items.
  • online resources will be available at www.library.pima.gov

Most banks are closed for the holiday, but some will remain open.
