TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) - The Arizona Diamondbacks will play a game against the Los Angeles Dodgers on March 25 to benefit the victims of the Jan. 8 shootings.
Proceeds - in addition to those from a March 7 game between the Diamondbacks and the Chicago White Sox - will be donated to victims funds in the wake of the attack last month that killed six people and wounded 13 more, including Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.
The games could benefit one or more of the funds assisting the victims of the shootings, including, perhaps, the Christina-Taylor Green fund. Nine-year-old Christina, whose dad is a scout for the Dodgers and her grandfather a former major league pitcher, manager and executive, was one of those killed.
Both games will be played at Kino Stadium.
