Jeff Ruby's Waterfront restaurant may move to Newport

COVINGTON, KY (FOX19) -

Jeff Ruby has confirmed that his restaurant, the Waterfront, will not reopen in Covington.

Ruby said told FOX19 that negotiations between himself and Covington city leaders have failed.

He says he is close to an agreement with Newport. If that happens, the Waterfront will be located near Newport on the Levee.

The Waterfront restaurant broke off of its moorings in Covington back in March due to flooding on the Ohio River. It was temporarily docked at Covington Landing before it was moved back to its original location for repair. It has been closed since.
