TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) - The Arizona Department of Public Safety has identified the victim killed in a 16-vehicle pileup on Interstate-10 near Picacho Peak as William Joseph Tatsch, 66 of Austin.

Tatsch's wife was also injured.  A spokeswoman at University Medical Center in Tucson says the hospital was treating 12 patients involved in the collisions. Three were listed as critical and the other nine were in serious condition.

I-10 was fully reopened to eastbound and westbound traffic at 9:20 p.m.  That's after a dust storm rolled through the area at about 12:15 p.m. It reduced visibility to near zero, according to authorities.
