Waking up at 2:30 in the morning is never fun, but there's never a day when I don't look forward to going to work as co-anchor of the FOX19 Morning News.
When I drive through Kentucky's Cut in the Hill and see Cincinnati's beautiful skyline, I feel a little like Mary Tyler Moore in the opening shot of her TV show from the 70's. To me, working in here in Cincinnati means I've made it.
I was born in Columbus, but I grew up mostly in Sidney, Ohio, just a quick drive up I-75. We used to come down for Reds games (love the Big Red Machine!) and even to get costumes for our high school drama productions.
I was educated at Ohio University's Scripps School of Journalism and still get back to Athens whenever I can. I have served as a Broadcaster in Residence, working with future newscasters and producers.
I worked for several years in Charleston, West Virginia, most notably as the 6 and 11 p.m. anchor at the top rated station in the Mountain state, WSAZ-TV.
Moving to Cincinnati in 1999 was a dream come true, made better by working with phenomenal people, especially my co-anchor Rob Williams.
We've had friends and team members come and go, but we've always managed to have just as much fun off the air as we do on the air.
I live near Cincinnati with my husband Ric and our children, Katie and Eric, and I am a member of the advisory board for the Pink Ribbon Girls.
Gray left the station in August of 2013.
