December rain improves Arizona drought

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The U.S. Drought Monitor update for this week shows much improved drought conditions for most of the state. 

Much of southeast Arizona has received one to three inches of rain during the month of December. 

Check rain totals in your area at Rainlog.org.

This took the drought down to Severe, from Extreme last week, for the southeast portion of the state. 

Below is this week's update compared to last week's update.
