TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Straight from the Arizona desert, Kobe the polar bear is making a huge splash at her new home in Pittsburgh.

Kobe is an 11-year-old, 700-pound SPBF (single polar bear female) looking for love. She left the Reid Park Zoo several weeks ago to meet her mate, Koda.

Koda's seven years old, making this bear kind of a "cougar."

Right now, the bears are chilling out in side-by-side rooms. But eventually keepers will move them into the same space in hopes their love will grow into a baby cub.
