Decapitated body discovered west of Tucson

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Pima County Sheriff's Department detectives are investigating the discovery of a decapitated body Friday west of Tucson. The victim's head was not located with the body.

Workers cutting grass along the roadside in the 2300 block of North Reservation Road, near West Mile Wide Road, discovered the body at about 11 a.m. and notified authorities.

Homicide investigators estimate that the victim was probably not at the location, which is in a desert area between Picture Rocks and Three Points, for more than 24 hours.

Detectives ask that anyone with information about any suspicious activity in the area in the past day please call 911 or 88-CRIME (822-7463).
