There are big changes going on at KOLD News 13. On Feb. 1, KOLD and our parent company, Raycom Media will enter into a "Shared Service Agreement" with Belo — the owners of KMSB and KTTU here in Tucson.
You may not see it on the air, but there is a lot of construction going on behind the scenes as we make room in our building for more Raycom and Belo Sales employees.
Starting Feb. 1, on KMSB Fox 11, KOLD will start producing a new two-hour weekday morning show, from 7 to 9 a.m. It'll be called Daybreak. It will be hosted by Gina Trunzo, Mark Stine and Erin Jordan. KOLD will continue to produce a morning show on KOLD from 4:30 a.m. to 7 a.m., hosted by Kayna Whitworth, Mark Stine and Erin Jordan.
KOLD will also start producing a one hour 9 p.m. show seven days a week on Fox 11. That newscast will be anchored by Scott Kilbury during the week and Chris Holmstrom on the weekends. Aaron Pickering will provide weather Sunday through Thursday and Cuyler Diggs will do the weather on Friday and Saturday. Scott Kilbury will continue to co-anchor the 4 p.m. news on KOLD with Heather Rowe.
Starting Monday, Jan. 23, our website, KOLD.com will make the transition to www.TucsonNewsNow.com. If you type in www.KOLD.com, you will be redirected to www.TucsonNewsNow.com. And, starting Feb. 1, www.FOX11az.com will make the same transition.
There is still a lot of work to be done as we get ready for the move and get KMSB and KTTU ready for HD. That will happen sometime in February. But for now, we look forward to providing news, marketing and engineering services to KMSB and KTTU and to Southern Arizona viewers.
