Oro Valley woman dies in pedestrian accident

ORO VALLEY, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A 78-year-old Oro Valley resident has died from her injuries after she was hit by a car Thursday night.

Oro Valley Police say a vehicle hit Bessie Datt just before 8 p.m. on North Oracle Road at North La Reserve Drive.

Paramedics took Datt to University of Arizona Medical Center where she died.

Oro Valley Police said in a news release, "Based on evidence at the scene and witness statements, it appears that the motor vehicle that struck Ms. Datt was not at fault.  Speed, alcohol and drugs are not suspected as a factor in this collision."
