'Bruno' wildfire burning in Chiricahua Mountains

DOUGLAS, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A wildfire is currently burning about 250 acres of grass and brush on the southwest side of the Chiricahua Mountains, south of Bruno Canyon. It is about 70 percent contained.

Chief meteorologist Chuck George spoke with Heidi Schewel, Coronado National Forest Spokesperson during Late Breaking coverage on KOLD News 13 at 10 on Thursday night.

It is about a half-mile from Glen Ranch, which is not imminently threatened.

Three 20-person Arizona State Department of Forestry hand crews and six fire engines are working on containing the fire.

The fire was spotted Feb.2 at 3:27 p.m.

The fire was believed to be human caused and is under investigation.
