Reality Check: Is Newt the 'Conservative' candidate in the Republican race?

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich spoke to a crowd of about 150 to 200 people in West Price Hill on Tuesday.

Afterward, he shook a few hands and then headed for his campaign bus.

Despite the fact that Ben knocked on the door of the bus and talked with Gingrich's deputy press secretary, he was told Mr. Gingrich wouldn't have time for an interview.  Though he was also told that maybe in a couple of weeks, he could do an interview with the former Speaker, via satellite.

Even so, the speech made by Gingrich Tuesday was mostly a pep rally and not as much a policy speech.  Though it did have a couple of moments that stood out.

Now, two statements that might call into question whether Gingrich is the conservative he claims to be.

Ben has the Reality Check you won't seen anywhere else.
