The Fiesta Bowl has announced it has awarded nearly half a million dollars to Arizona charities, and one of them is right here in Tucson.
The Conquistadors Youth Golf Fund - First Tee of Tucson is one of 14 Arizona charities receiving the award. They'll split the $400,000 pot.
The program helps at risk kids by providing free golf to programs like Boys and Girls Club, Special Olympics and Parks and Recreation.
Every year the Fiesta Bowl identifies charities to receive grants. The other charities who received grants -- including Banner Health Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona and Best Buddies Arizona are based out of Phoenix.
