Victim identified in midtown homicide

Tucson Police are investigating a homicide, following the discovery of a body in midtown late Saturday night.

According to Tucson Police Sgt. Matt Ronstadt, two people found the body while walking by a parking lot near 3050 North Country Club at around 11:45 p.m.. They dialed 911 after realizing the man was not responding.

Detectives said the man had obvious signs of trauma, and had been dead for less than 24-hours. The victim has been identified as 31-year old Timothy J. Ryan Jr. of Tucson, Ronstadt said.

Police urge anyone with information to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
