TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -
Valentine's Day is a heartbreaking anniversary for a Tucson family. Exactly four years ago, Kay Read went missing.
Police say the 63-year-old, handicapped Sunday-school teacher was abducted from her east-side home, and there's still no sign of her.
Over the years, investigators have had just a few clues to go on. They say shortly after Read's disappearance, someone used her bank card at a nearby gas station at East Golf Links and South Kolb roads. They also found her mini-van, abandoned and set on fire just a few blocks away.
Read was an avid blood donor for the American Red Cross. Every year, family members hold a blood drive in her remembrance. And relatives have not given up in their search for her, as they hand out fliers, search the streets, and vow to keep the case alive.
If you have any information about Kay Read's disappearance, call 911 or 88-CRIME. The Tucson Police department continues to investigate this case.
