Mindy graduated from Western State College in Gunnison, CO, with a degree in English. She began her journalism career at KREX-TV in Grand Junction.

She moved on to become weekend anchor and reporter at KOAA-TV in Colorado Springs.

In 1988, Mindy came to Tucson and joined the KOLD-TV News team. She reports late breaking news on KOLD News 13 Live This Morning, and anchors News 13 Live at Noon.

Mindy is an adjunct professor in the Journalism Department at the University of Arizona, teaching broadcast writing.

"I enjoy teaching the next generation of journalists how to tell a story."

Mindy splits her loyalty between UA and NAU, with her daughter at the U of A and her son at NAU.

Mindy and her family enjoy camping, mountain biking and hiking. Their dogs, Sophie and Jenna, often tag along on family outings.

Mindy enjoys moments when work and life can mingle, and she can report on "issues that help people and touch them in a positive way."

"When we give our viewers news that has meaning in their lives, then we are doing our jobs," Mindy says.
