TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The call of the wild is taking over cell phones.

Wildlife ring tones from Tucson's Center for Biological Diversity have passed the half-million download mark.

The sounds of more than 100 rare and endangered species are available, from from whale song and owl calls to wolf howls and bear growls.

There are also wallpapers for download if you need to freshen up your phone's home screen.

Hit up http://www.rareearthtones.org/ringtones/index.html if you're interested. There is a short registration page, but the tones and wallpapers are free.
