TUSD’s remaining budget presentations

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The public is invited to attend presentations about Tucson Unified School District's annual budget on Feb. 20, 21 and 27. The presentations are being held to inform parents, community members and interested taxpayers about the budgeting process and how monies will be spent for the 2013 fiscal year in each of three budget areas.

  • Feb. 20, 6:30-8 p.m.: Sahuaro High School Auditorium, 545 N. Camino Seco
  • Feb. 21, 6:30-8 p.m.: Pueblo Magnet High School Cafeteria, 3500 S. 12th Ave.
  • Feb. 27, 6:30-8 p.m.: Rincon/University High School Auditorium, 421 N. Arcadia Blvd.

TUSD's projected budgets for the 2013 fiscal year are:

  • Maintenance and operations - $241 million
  • Unrestricted capital- $7 million
  • Soft capital- $5 million
