TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The Christina-Taylor Green Memorial Foundation was granted with a 20,000 dollar donation from the Alliance Beverage Distributing Company today.

Alliance Division Sales Manager David Faccio presented the contribution to John Green, Christina-Taylor Green's father, at the Westward Look Resort.

The Christina-Taylor Green Memorial Foundation is one of the seven charities the Alliance Beverage Distributing Company has chosen to support through their Pioneer Classic Benefit Fund. Donations distributed from the fund result from the proceeds of the annual Pioneer Classic Golf Tournament hosted by Alliance Beverage in Phoenix, Ariz.

Christina-Taylor Green, 9, was one of six people shot and killed on Jan. 8, 2011.

The Christine-Taylor Green Memorial Foundation was set up to help enrich the lives of local children, whether its through sports, arts or after school programs.

John Green says it won't be long before they start taking applications for grants from the community.
