CASA GRANDE (Tucson News Now) -

A Tucson man, riding as a front-seat passenger in a car on Interstate 10 near Casa Grande, died when the vehicle veered into the median Sunday and flipped.

Jonathan Centeno, 32, was killed after  he partially was ejected from a four-door sedan shortly before 9 a.m., the Arizona Department of Public Safety said.

Centeno was not wearing a seatbelt, the DPS said.

The driver, Wendy Reyes Dominguez, 24, of Tucson, was traveling east on I-10 when she rolled the car, DPS said.

Dominguez, who was wearing a seatbelt, was treated for minor injuries and released.

Rossio Araujo, a longtime friend of the victim, describes Centeno as "an inspiration to the youth."

He said Centeno would gather youth in Tucson on Christmas and Thanksgiving to deliver food to children and those in need.

Centeno was the son of a local pastor and Araujo said he was working towards becoming a youth pastor himself.

A memorial service is scheduled at the Grace to the Nations church, 6180 E. Pima Street, at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
