Cholla High teacher rescues students from McDonalds robbery

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

An exceptional education teacher from Cholla High School quickly escorted her students out of a McDonald's yesterday in South Tucson while the restaurant was being robbed.

Lisa Justininao took her students to the McDonalds as a reward. As the orders for the six students came up, she noticed something.

"Employees were jumping over the counter and I see two masked men in the kitchen," Justininao said.

At that point, the teacher jumped into action and took her students out of the restaurant. "These are my kids and their safety comes first, I got them out," Justininao said.

The South Tucson Police Department is investigating the robbery.

"Not the average person comes in and sticks a gun to someone's head," Lt. Jeff Inorio said.

This afternoon the police released surveillance video of the robbery.

The suspects are described as two Hispanic men in their 20's. They were seen leaving the scene in a newer-model gray Toyota vehicle. If you have any information please call 88-CRIME.
