Sheriff Arpaio's lead investigator for the Cold Case Posse has a new title: author.
Mike Zullo is co-writer of a new e-book covering the high-profile investigation into the authenticity of President Barack Obama's birth certificate.
The book's full title is "A Question of Eligibility: A Law Enforcement Investigation into Barack Obama's Birth Certificate and His Eligibility to be President" and is currently for sale at the Amazon and Barnes & Noble web sites for $9.99.
Zullo's co-author is Jerome Corsi, whose past books include "The Obama Nation" and "Unfit For Command".
The new e-book went up for sale Thursday - the same day Sheriff Arpaio announced the results from his six-month probe into the birth certificate. Arpaio said the investigative team was made up entirely of volunteers and used no taxpayer monies.
The headline-grabbing result: the certificate is a fake.
Online summaries of the book say:
"A Question of Eligibility" takes an in-depth look at the Arpaio Report and whether President Barack Obama's birth certificate is authentic or a forgery, and therefore whether or not he is eligible to serve as the President of the United States of America. In the investigation, the President's long-form birth certificate released by the White House is dissected piece by piece, as well as President Obama's birth registration and Selective Service Card. Includes an introduction by Sheriff Joe Arpaio. "
A spokesman for the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office tells CBS 5 News that Arpaio did not and will not receive any compensation for his contribution to the book.
