Man in video related to Isabel Celis case comes forward

Posted: Updated:
TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A man has come forward, telling Tucson Police he was one of the five people in a video from the morning 6-year-old Isabel Celis disappeared.

At a press briefing Saturday afternoon, police say they plan to interview the man, who is not a suspect in the case. They hope he will put them in touch with the other four people in the surveillance video.

Police say they are continuing their investigation into the suspicious disappearance/possible abduction of Celis, who has been missing from her midtown home for one week.

Lt. Fabian Pacheco says police have been receiving about eight-to-10 tips per hour in the case.

Pacheco says analysts continue to pour over tips that have been coming in from the public.

Pacheco says they are looking at all options, and not focusing on any single source.

"This isn't CSI: Tucson, where we're going to solve this in an hour."

Ultimately, police say, they are not at liberty to answer a lot of the "hard questions" in the case.

Pacheco says the Celis family continues to cooperate with investigators.

Anyone with information is urged to call 9-1-1 or 8-8 Crime.

A reward in the case has increased to $50,000.
