TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -
Tucson Police continue to investigate the disappearance of Isabel Celis, who was reported missing from her home on April 21.
As for the continuation of news briefings, Sgt. Maria Hawke said that as of now TPD is planning on having the media briefing at 2 p.m. However, she will check with the media in the morning hours to determine if the briefing will be useful to them.
In a news conference today, Tucson Police Lt. Fabian Pacheco said, "There is limited and minimal information to share."
Pacheco clarified that police have a lot of information, but "there is not a whole lot to share."
He went on to say it is a long process.
"Our detectives continue with their work," he said. "There are several things they are looking at. It takes a long time and they are keeping up on that part of their work."
Regarding the security-camera video, Pacheco said police are working with the company that provided it to find video from the night of the incident.
"We have been in communication with the company that provided the video," Pacheco said.
Police have said if the new video could lead to more tips, they'll release it to the media.
Meanwhile, police say Isabel Celis' parents have expressed interest in doing an interview with the media. Police say they have provided the family with a list of requests, and they will help facilitate an interview if and when the family would like to do one.
Pacheco said there are a lot of misinformation and rumors being spread on social media and that some of it "is getting out of hand."
