Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu announced Friday that he is ending his Congressional campaign, and running for Pinal County Sheriff again.
In a letter to supporters posted on his campaign web site Friday morning, Babeu said, "I want to continue to serve as sheriff and focus on performance and results of public safety. No one can argue that our sheriff's office isn't better off than four years ago."
Babeu has been in several controversial situations over the past few years.,
He has denied allegations that he tried to deport a former boyfriend if he made their relationship public.
