TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -
A 26-year-old man is sent to the hospital with serious injuries after being shot on Tucson's south side.
He is expected to survive.
A representative from the Tucson Police Department said witnesses told detectives that the man who was shot was firing a gun and another man approached him and told him to stop.
When the man did not stop firing his gun, the man who asked him to stop then shot him.
When police arrived to the 2200 block of East Monterey Vista the victim was lying in the street.
The man who shot the victim remained in the area and cooperate with police.
