Tucson police are coordinating viewings of a large amount of jewelry and rare coins that have turned up in their possession.
Tucson police say they have 250 to 300 pieces.
Detectives believe the items were stolen during an unknown number of burglaries before Feb. 20, 2012 in the Greater Tucson Metro Region.
Police will hold viewings of the items on an appointment basis. Here are the steps and qualifications to sign up for an appointment:
-You must have reported a theft/burglary involving distinctive jewelry/rare coins in the Greater Tucson Metro Region before Feb. 20
-Call (520) 351-8811 and leave a voicemail with your name, contact phone number (s), and police report number and the agency you reported it with (Tucson Police Department, Marana Police Department, University of Arizona Police Department, etc.)
The message line will be checked daily and a detective will get back to you.
