TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Over 400 hundred fans came out to McKale Center on Sunday for their first chance to meet the 2012 Arizona Wildcats football team.

Fans were able to chat with their favorite players and coaches while getting autographs and pictures taken.

The Cats broke Fall Camp after a scrimmage Saturday and beginning regular season practice with the start of classes Monday.

Prior to the Meet the Team event with fans, the Cats conducted interviews with the local writers and broadcasters as a part of Media Day.

Junior defensive lineman Justin Washington was the only notable player missing from the festivities on Sunday. UA Sports Information declined to elaborate on whether Washington was sick or injured when asked about his whereabouts.

The Tucson News Now Sports team sat down with several veteran and incoming Wildcats and you can see and hear those interviews throughout the week on FOX 11 Tucson Now News at Nine and on KOLD News 13 at 6 and 10 p.m.
