Walmart hiring in Tucson

TUCSON (Tucson News Now) - Walmart is hiring 300 employees for a new store set to open this fall in Tucson.

The store will be hiring both full- and part-time associates for all areas, including management.

Walmart has opened a temporary hiring center at 1010 E. Palmdale St., Suite 104, in Tucson.  The center is accepting applications Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Wednesday, 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.; and Saturday 8 a.m. - noon.  You can also apply online at http://careers.walmart.com.

The majority of associates will begin work in September to help prepare the store for its grand opening this fall.

    The Tucson Police Department is asking for the public's help locating 17-year-old Anthony Garcia. The teen is described as Hispanic, 5'10" tall, weighing 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Although he is in his late teens, according to the release, he has special needs and functions at a much younger age.
