Person of interest in Bisbee death found near Salt Lake City

A person of interested in the death of a 48-year-old Bisbee woman on August 1 has been captured west of Salt Lake City, the Cochise County Sheriff's office told Tucson News Now.

Paul Rosas, 56, the only person of interest in the case, was taken into custody Sunday.

He is wanted for questioning in the death of 48-year-old Melinda Carley.

Bisbee police found Carley's body in her bathtub under five feet of clothing and plastic.

Police tracked Rosas to the West Valley City section of Salt Lake City last week after his trail had grown cold.

A credit card linked to Rosas was used at a Vietnamese food store last week. Bisbee Police alerted West Valley City authorities.

    The Pima County Board of Supervisors reversed a decision made two weeks ago and has decided to accept a federal Stonegarden federal grant from the Department of Homeland Security for $1.4 million. The money will be used by the Pima County Sheriff's Department as part of its border strategy with federal agencies.
