Train strikes, kills woman near I-10, Ina Road

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A train struck and killed a woman at Interstate 10 and Ina Road around 8:15 Friday night, Northwest Fire Capt. Adam Goldberg said.

It happened near Massingale Road. 

The death was the second involving a train and a pedestrian this week, Goldberg said. That incident happened last Saturday near Interstate 10 and Ruthrauff. 

Police and ambulance crews are blocking one lane of the Frontage Road eastbound of Interstate 10 in between Ina Road and Cortaro. Massingale road is going to be closed as crews investigate.

    It may be bad news for a bear spotted several times in an area in Rio Rico the last few weeks, state wildlife workers may have to put it down.  However, they may not have to kill it, IF neighbors change their ways.
